In 2013 Makken joined up with the infamous Hillbilly Huckfest, and together with professional skier, Aasmund Thorsen, they buildt a Freeride track the way they want a freeride track to be buildt. Makken invited some of his friends around the world, and for a week they rode what Makken claims to be the funnest course ever.
In the wake of the Hillbilly Huckfest, he claims that more riders are putting on their own events, based on the simple idea: Big BIkes, Big Jumps, and lots of speed.
