Leogang: Gwin and Atherton sign the best time
As expected, the weather least fine than yesterday at trainings, has made the track slippery for these qualifications. Josh Bryceland, Rémi Thirion and Laurie Greenland among others, did not pass the threshold of 80 but are qualified for tomorrow's final, because of their protected status. Note, Sam Hill DNS for that round , who is recovering from a crash. We hope, he will be up for Lenzerheide, next month.
It's Aaron Gwin, who won last year (without chain remember!) who today signs the fastest qualifying time , followed by Loris Vergier and Mick Jones.
In women category, it is once again Rachel Atherton who is smoking the clock with a very comfortable lead over his fellow citizen Tahnee Seagrave.
In junior competition, Elliott Heap, accustomed to wet, get the best time, and the happy french Sylvain Cougoureux signs the second time!
