Bearclaw Invitational P.R.

Press Release : So here is all the info you need to know about the 3rd annual bearclaw invitational at mt Washington. First of all I want to say thanks to all my sponsors that have helped me bring this idea in my head to life, without them nothing is possible, Adidas eyewear, specialized, fox suspension, red bull, Kokanee, Hayes brakes, dakine, shimano, And last but not the least Mt Washington, for providing a location and staff and all the rest of the pieces of the puzzle to make it awesome. For riders that are invited there is a mandatory rider meeting at fat teddys on Mt Washington, on Aug 20th 8:00pm and just remember full faces are mandatory and there will be a score reduction for wearing tight pants what is too tight one might ask, well if your girlfriend looks good in them they are too tight. So the deal is on aug 22nd there will be a free slalom event which is invitation only and if you think you can win it and are not invited email me. The format of the free slalom is simple it’s a dual slalom course with 3 or 4 dirt jumps in it. Its racing with the jumps being judged, same format as mogul skiing, in fact we are bringing in a mogul skiing judge for continuity and yes this is the first time a competition of this sort is being held and so you know kirt vories is the guy who came up with the idea werd kurt. On Aug 23rd the real fun starts with the Bearclaw invitational slopestyle starting at 12:30 sharp, the format is 2 runs for each rider, that’s it so don’t be late to watch the best riders in the entire world compete for respect and some serious cash 18,000 $ at the moment but im sure it will be bigger than that shhhh don’t tell anybody though. Promptly after the last rider in the slopestyle competition the riders will be doing warm up runs on the high air jump to compete for a rad watch from Oakley. If you do not know what the high air jump is, well ill tell ya it is a dirt jump where you put a pole across the jump and keep raising it until nobody clears it, the end. Last year the record was 16 and a half feet off the top of the takeoff, very exciting to watch I must say. Then promptly after the high air event the results will be given for the slopestyle, FYI watch out for mccaul hes on the chase to triple this event, this would be his first event hes tripled. Meanwhile all day a world class dj will be taking care of the music, provided by red bull. OOPs I almost forgot to mention all the other important stuff, like the fact that the beer gardens will be serving fresh kokanee all day meanwhile there will be food vendors on site along with the restaurant at the lodge serving up cold drinks and hot meals with serving food until 11 pm and drinks till 12:30 Plenty of parking on the hill if you’r not familiar with the course location just follow the crowds.
